A compounded medication is prepared per prescription rather than manufactured in retail batches, which makes verification of each batch the thing worth asking about. Here is what we can tell you about yours.
Each batch is compounded and tested by the licensed US 503A pharmacy that prepares it, and a certificate of analysis is issued for that batch. To request the certificate covering your fill, ask your prescribing provider or contact the dispensing pharmacy identified on your prescription label.

Do I need a prescription? How does that work?
Yes. Every Vivo GLP-1 prescription follows a medical intake and review by a licensed provider. Nothing ships without provider approval.
What happens if I'm not approved?
If your provider determines this isn't appropriate for you, you won't be charged for the medication.
Can I qualify if I have existing health conditions?
Existing health conditions don't automatically disqualify you. Your Vivo provider reviews your full health history during your intake to determine what's clinically appropriate.
Is compounded semaglutide/tirzepatide FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications, including Vivo's GLP-1 formulations, are not FDA-approved drug products. They are prepared by a licensed US 503A pharmacy for an individual, patient-specific prescription following a provider evaluation.
Can I transfer my current dose from another provider?
Yes — this is asked during your intake so your Vivo provider can review it and determine what's appropriate going forward.
Is a long-term commitment required?
No. Vivo's GLP-1 program is offered as a subscription you can cancel at any time.
Can my provider adjust my plan over time?
Yes. Your provider reviews your progress at follow-up and can adjust your plan as clinically appropriate.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account dashboard, or by emailing care@vivoclinic.org. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, provided we receive it before that period's order is transmitted to the pharmacy. Once an order has been transmitted to the pharmacy, or compounding has begun, it can't be canceled or refunded — it's being prepared specifically for you. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
